Daniel Mercado: Visionary Artist
Daniel Mercado is a visionary artist working across photography, modeling, and acting — telling stories that live between elegance, emotion, and identity. Born and raised in Harlem, with Brazilian and Puerto Rican roots, Daniel brings a rich cultural lens to everything he creates.
He began his career in 2019 as a professional model, collaborating with designers and agencies who valued his natural presence and visual sensitivity. In 2022, he expanded into acting, training at the T. Schreiber Studio in New York, where he began shaping his ability to express nuance and depth on screen. Since then, he’s been featured in short films and continues to work on independent creative projects.
Photography started as a personal hobby in 2022 but quickly evolved into something more. By late 2023, Daniel was shooting fashion editorials and conceptual portraits that explored intimacy, tension, and transformation. His work often focuses on emotional landscapes — capturing subtle moments that feel alive, cinematic, and deeply felt.
Daniel is driven by curiosity, movement, and a love for storytelling in all forms. Whether in front of the lens or behind it, he travels often and creates with intention, seeking out the spaces where identity and feeling collide.
